DL's for your birthday?

It was Rocco's birthday yesterday. So we celebrated with one of the best ways that you can... a DL ladder! Happy Birthday ROCCO!

Today's Recipe: Indian Coleslaw

WORKOUT:
OFF DAY

What are Thrusters?

Thrusters work your entire body and are a great way to burn fat and improve your overall body strength. They're a combination of a front squat and a shoulder press -so, they definitely target your quads, hips, shoulders, and triceps.

How do I do a thruster? Grab a barbell from a rack or clean the barbell from floor with an overhand open grip, slightly wider than shoulder width. Position barbell chest high with back arched. Place bar in front of shoulders with the elbows forward and high (elbows are forward from wrist position). Place the heels at hip width or slightly wider, position feet outward at approximately 45°. Descend until knees and hips are fully bent or until thighs are just past parallel to floor (lower hamstring hits calf). Knees travel outward in direction of toes. Extend knees and hips until legs are straight -carrying the momentum from your lower body and transferring the energy into a overhead press. Remember: Keep your torso as upright as possible throughout the movement.

Workout Of the Day:

25min As Many Rounds As Possible
250 jump rope
25 burpees
125 overhead claps

What are the guidelines for burpees?
Each rep of the burpee will only count when full range of motion is achieved. The bottom limit is when your chest and thighs touch the ground. The top limit is where your hands clap overhead with your feet off the ground and your hips and legs are fully extended. There is no height requirement on the jump, but the clap must occur while airborne. The clap is considered overhead when the arm crosses the plane of the ear (when viewed from the side). If the timing is missed, you may repeat the jump to complete the rep.
Here's a video displaying proper form for burpees(Thanks to GR members: Rocco and Anthony)
